Milkyway Is On A Collision Course

Astronomers are saying 4 Billions years from now our own galaxy Milky Way will collide with our large neighbor Andromeda Galaxy.
According to the new research made by Europe's Gaia spacecraft. Some previous estimates had predicted the crash would happen significantly sooner in about 3.9 billion years.

Those galaxies we know so far will not survive. But our solar system will going to out live our galaxy. During that time our sun will be not be a Red Giant yet, instead the sun will have grown bright enough to toast earth and all living beings.

This is how we will see Andromeda when it will be very close to us. I have attached a photo have a look at it.

Andromeda is three to four times more massive than Milky Way. Distance between Andromeda and Milky Way is about 2.5 millions light-year apart. These two galaxy fueled by gravity coming close to each other at a speed of about 402,000 kilometers per hour. Even at these speed this two galaxy will not meet each other for about 4 Billions years. When they will finally collide and fly apart, scrambling stars and redrawing constellations until eventually, after a billion or so years have passed, the two galaxies merge.

Below is a attached video have a look at it, How merging will look like.

Our solar system will have new cosmic address "A Giant Elliptical Galaxy" formed after the merging of Andromeda and Milky Way.

Using nothing more than Newton’s laws of gravitation, we astronomers can confidently predict that several billion years from now our home galaxy the Milky Way will merge with our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda,”
Neil DeGrasse Tyson says. “Because the distances between the stars are so great compared to their sizes, few if any stars in either galaxy will actually collide. Any life on the worlds of that far-off future should be safe, but they will be treated to an amazing, billion-year long light show.”

After merging it will be not wrong to say "MilkoMeda isn't?
